Le frère
Artista madrileñ_ formado en Bellas Artes entre la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (España) y la Universidad de Guadalajara (Jalisco, México) (2001-2009). Creador y director de Las Subastas Suicidas junto a Ana Morgade, en el que se mezclan arte en vivo, exposición, performance y reivindicación a través de remates de obras en las que si no existe puja, se queman.
En las obras de le frère -el hermano, en francés- se abordan temas sociales para cuestionar los discursos de poder con sutileza y elegancia, pero también desde el humor crudo y la ironía. Su trabajo apela a lo cotidiano y experimenta con materiales, técnicas y formatos habituales u ordinarios de su propio contexto diario para crear un lenguaje figurativo que habla de la actualidad desde múltiples lecturas.
Para le frère hacer arte es generar experiencias y encuentra en él una poderosa herramienta que le permite abordar las derrotas habituales y las victorias cotidianas a veces desde el sarcasmo otras veces desde el amor y en ocasiones desde ambos lugares a la vez.

Madrid-born artist who studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) and the University of Guadalajara (Jalisco, Mexico) (2001-2009). Creator and director of Las Subastas Suicidas with Ana Morgade, in which live art, exhibition, performance and justification are mixed through auctions of works in which if there is no bid, they are burned.
The works of le frère -the brother in French- address social issues to question the discourses of power with subtlety and elegance, but also with raw humor and irony. His work appeals to the everyday, experimenting with materials, techniques, and common or ordinary formats of his own daily context to create a pictorial language that speaks to current events from multiple readings.
For le frère, to make art is to generate experiences, and he finds in it a powerful tool that allows him to address the usual defeats and everyday victories, sometimes from sarcasm, sometimes from love, and sometimes from both places at the same time.
